A MESSAGE FROM OUR PRESIDENT: Welcome to Madison Area Sewing Guild’s website! We hope you will find our website user-friendly and informative. Please let us know your thoughts and suggestions. We would love to hear from you! COMMUNITY SEWING KITS AVAILABLE FOR COMPLETING AT HOME: This year we are making food pantry tote bags and patchwork blankets for Way Forward in Middleton. There are blanket and tote bag kits available to complete at home. For more information about the kits, please contact [email protected]. JUNE MASG MEMBERSHIP MEETING: For our June meeting, one of our newer guild members, Bridget P., will give a presentation on determining fabric content through burn testing. Bridget invites meeting participants to bring in small pieces of fabric for testing. This will be perfect timing for everyone shopping the TAC resale event on June 6-7. We will be doing the burn test demonstration outside so please plan accordingly. If the weather does not cooperate, we have an alternate presentation ready for indoors. Bridget is a sewing instructor at Sew Much More in Madison and has a wealth of fabric content and apparel construction knowledge. WHO WE ARE The Madison-area sewing guild enthusiastically works to create connections between sewists and our community at large. We offer learning opportunities, as well as a forum to exchange ideas, inspire each other, and develop creativity. We strive to improve our community and our skills by giving back with charitable sewing. We welcome all ages and all levels of experience. Our members hail from all over central and south-central Wisconsin, as well as northern Illinois. You can learn more about us on our About page, and learn more about our history on our History page.
