Community Sewing

Volunteering is part of our Mission

Community service is a part of the American Sewing Guild mission, and is equally a component of the MASG mission.

We are continually looking for ways in which our sewing skills and resources can benefit the community... and pass on our skills to the next generation!

2024: Fidget sensory blankets for RSVP to distribute to those in need.
2023: Caps and quilts for Hope2Others

2020: Scrub caps for Froedtert Hospital MICU
2020: Port cushions and sensory blankets for dementia patients.
2019: Hot pads and tote bags for DIAS
2018: Aprons for Agrace, blankets for Porchlight, and Threads of Remembrance
2017: Days for Girls and pillowcases for dialysis patients
Annual partnership with the Junior League of Madison's “All Dressed Up” program where we provided hemming an minor alterations for donated prom dresses.
Pillow covers for American Family Children's Hospital
Tote bags made from disposable surgical pack wrapping for patients at St. Mary's Hospital.
Personal laundry bags for patients at Agrace Hospice.
